Nuria Castán, Rider del equipo Völkl Snowboards International, finish the season 2015/16 very happy of finals results of competitions and ranking official by the FWQ and eager to start the next season season.
It has succeeded in the European Ranking of FWQ 9th position, has made it into the Top 10 and the World Ranking FWQ has achieved the 13th position is a great sporting success bearing in mind that the younger the circuit with 18 years.

She began the season in 15th place with points earned last season in her last participation in Freeride Junior Tour (FJT), becoming the 7th position in the World Ranking after her 1st Position in Montafon (Austria), she has finally finished the season in an excellent 13th final position and even better in the European ranking that has made it into the Top 10.
This season Castán has participated in 9 competitions of different levels FWQ (there is contest of one to four stars), it’s a quite remarkable the 1st position obtained in Montafon (Austria)contest of 3*, it is noteworthy that is the first time in it’s category a rider that comes from the Junior category wins a contest of 3* in the circuit FWQ, plus two second places more in Vars and Arcs (France) both contests of 2* and a fifth place in Arcs in a contest of 4*. It has also been not so good times; the cancellation of the contest of 4* in Sogndal (Norway) and unable to compete, lost a great opportunity to score points for the final ranking and final of season two crashes in Lizum (Austria) and Cortina d’Ampezzo (Italy), was not allowed her to improve her final position, yet, the overall assessment of the season is very very positive.
It’s very remarkable merit of Nuria Castán everything she has achieved, since it can only train on weekends in Arcalis (Andorra) because living in Almoster (Tarragona) and in between week, she study of Graphic Design at the University of Lleida, besides she has to make physical preparation done in the gym, you can not train every day on the mountain or at least many more days, as do the vast majority of Riders circuit, they living in mountain sites or at least much closer than Nuria Castán that every time she has to drive about 200 km to arrive to Arcalis.
