In the following contests of the 2017 season of Nuria Castan, for the third time so far this season, manages to climb the podium, obtaining a 2nd position in Les Arcs 2**

qualifying contest for that was disputed the next day in Les Arcs 4****, although Castán already had the place guaranteed in the test of 4**** by she had ranking, in the contest of the previous day, made a conservative descent and without risking Too, thinking about the next day’s competition.
The descent was fluid fairly fast and with some jumps of approximately one meter in height, to ensure correct receptions.
The next day was played the 4**** contest, the degree of difficulty, slope, snow conditions etc … was very different from the one found the previous day in the 2** contest.
The night before it had snowed about 10 or 15 cm but the face of the mountain was dangerous because underneath this layer of freshly fallen snow, there was snow hard and lots of small “sharks” stones that are not seen because of the light Layer of fallen snow, that increase the dangerousness of the descent.
The descent made by Nuria, was fast and quite fluid, making 5 well received jumps, in one of realized a buttchek that penalized it making it lower until the seventh position of the final general. The level of all Riders in this type of tests is very high and the slightest error causes a very fast position drop.
Between the third classified and the seventh (final position of Castan), there were only 5 points difference, which denotes equality between all Riders.

Despite this result, Nuria Castan, provisionally maintains the 5th place in the General Ranking with 2915 points.

The next test will be in early March in Jasna (Slovakia), 4**** test, of the international circuit of FWQ, this test is new for Castan since it has never gone to compete to Slovakia.
During the month of February, without competitions, will maintain a high pace of training to reach the three tests that have to play in the month of March, all of the highest level, 4****.
